Pamela Geiger Fine Art

Pamela Geiger, Artist in Oils

Painting the old, the beautiful, and the disappearing Florida landscape is my passion.

While working on Nantucket during the summer of 1999, and inspired by that lovely island, I bought oils and canvas, and started to paint.  That year, I completed my first salable work, of an old hydropower plant on a river west of Boston.  A friend had restored it to it's original function, and started a micro brewery there! The painting hangs in his living room still.  I was on my way!

In my travels, I have painted and found teachers.  I have studied with Lois Ferguson at Sanibel, Dorothy Newland in Easton, MD, Charles Gruppé on the St. Johns River, FL, Connie Winters in Charlotte, Marc Hanson in Jacksonville, Larry Moore by the Atlantic Ocean, and in St. Petersburg with the wonderful artists St. Pete Regional Artists Association (SPRAA).  Each year I grow to be a better painter.

Now I've settled in St. Augustine, FL.  We have a very active Art Association and art community here.  I regularly study the figure at Monday Night Sketch Group.  Our Plein Air Artists of St. Augustine (PAASA) explore the county twice monthly.  I carry my paint box around Florida to many Paint Outs each year.
